Fairy Light Cabin Craft Event

December is a bustling time for families, where our focus shifts towards sharing our time and talents to spread care and love. While it may appear that adding another event to the calendar is the last thing anyone needs, taking moments for self-care amid the chaos is also crucial. Our motto? "Keep it low-stress with a touch of finesse." We love hosting events for families, so we came up with a winter-themed project that kids could assemble with some help, but also resulted in a charming and sturdy centerpiece.

Mason jars are a timeless choice for projects that balance ruggedness and attractiveness. There are countless craft ideas to elevate them beyond their original purpose, but using them in an inverted position can be tricky. Brian tackled this challenge with flair. He not only crafted a custom-fit log cabin perfectly scaled for the winter scene within the jar but also designed wooden parts that snugly attached to the jar's neck. This clever addition allowed for enclosing a battery pack and securely mounting the jar to a small log slice.

Our initial crafting event was intimate and laid-back, offering plenty of breaks for those little fingers when they needed a rest. Completing a craft project is inherently satisfying and rejuvenating. Providing kids with a break from the usual cycle of holiday parties and performances is a refreshing change. We are planning another crafting event in the next few weeks, so we hope you can join us at Rock Wall Garden for an afternoon of crafting in the near future. It’s the perfect setting for creating lasting memories.
